GATHER THE FRAGMENTS
The Little draw-back was my "Response" towards an experience.
hmmmm.. it will be nice to re-establish that it was all bright and looking promising, I entered the University with Just two Priority which are Firstly "God" and secondly "My education" .
I had all working out for me academically but I saw the need to raise the bar in influence to be able to impact more at an higher level.
It was the election period of our department association and at the same time examination period towards movement to 300 level, I was privileged to contest for the position of a welfare Director of my Department. My countenance changed during that period because my phone was stolen.
Oh Father.. What exactly is Going on?.. was my reaction..
I remember informing him about it so I needed to check from his side first to know exactly what is happening,
Second Year in school and second phone I will be Losing to theft?.
I was not able to access certain documents which are vital for my preparation for the upcoming examination. I saw a drastic drop in my grade afterwards, although I won't attribute the drop to the whole incident but to my reaction to the whole incident.
I was not in the right frame of mind all through that period, I cleared my mind off the election and all.
I was the Level cordinator of my department fellowship in 200level and my desire to reach out to the 100Level students by being part of the Association did not work out.
In the midst of all, I received a call for an interview with my church fellowship in school. I could not tell or share the whole experience with anyone else except my room-mate who happen to be my cousin.
Every time we experience a down-turn and see our plans crashing down. What really is of great importance is our reaction towards such experiences. Its not what is thrown at us that brings us down but how we respond to what is thrown at us.
Our response Determines the upward movement or downward movement of our life. We've got to pick ourselves up and Keep going in the midst of all odds without giving excuses. Excuses only magnify the downward movement of ones life. Unpleasant Experiences are Fragments to pick lessons from and furge ahead with our goals.
I was privileged to cross to the next level with a little drop in my grade.after Gathering the fragments, I was able to stand up strong in the next level.
