Woman Loses All Her Legs And Hands After Using Fake And Illegal Bumbum Enhancement
A woman in California wanted her b*tt enhanced so she turned to an illegal enhancement procedure.
The woman was left a multiple amputee after the cosmetic surgery went horribly wrong.
April Brown suffered life-threatening infections after having silicone implants injected into her behind. The procedure was performed by an unlicensed doctor in Los Angeles, she said, with the complications leading to several stints as a hospital inpatient.
“They call it medical grade silicone,” she said, “but much of it is industrial grade silicone.” Last year, Brown’s health deteriorated to the point that she had no choice but to have all of her limbs removed.

Women more attracted to men with large genitals – Study
Previous studies on women’s preferences for male genital size have
been mixed, and even though it is the men who typically worry about the
size of their own genitals, it is not unusual for women to prefer
large-size male genitalia, even if it is up to a point.
But scientists have always argued that the old studies relied on questionnaires, which they say may not always provide honest answers.
However, it is now scientifically proven that size does, indeed, matter significantly because women tend to be more attracted to men with large genitals.

The two clerics who frowned at the pervasive influence of corruption in the nation's polity, asked the government to take urgent steps to halt the malevolent trend if the nation must make progress in the comity of
The Iron Lady Many Won't Miss
She came, she saw, she conquered. That could
be the way Margaret Hilda Thatcher would have liked to be remembered.
The Iron Lady of British politics achieved the distinction of being the
longest-serving prime minister of Britain since 1827. Her conservative
politics led to the implementation of such radically-conservative
policies as the poll tax. In her single-minded determination to reverse
Britain's economic decline in the 1980s, she promoted policies based on
monetarism, privatisation, deregulation, small government, lower taxes
and free trade. She successfully crushed the influence of the hitherto
powerful trade unions, privatised state-owned industries and fought a
decisive war with Argentina to keep the Falkland Islands under the
British flag.

Fashola to lift ban on religious activities in schools
Lagos State government is considering lifting the ban placed on religious activities in primary schools in the state, even as Governor Babatunde Fashola said the citizens must cooperate with security agencies for effective security.
Fashola, who disclosed this, yesterday, during a courtesy visit by members of the Anglican Communion, Diocese of Lagos West, led by the outgoing Bishop, Rt. Rev. Peter Adebiyi, argued that every major city in the world had its own black spot.
He said: “I assure you that we will do something on the ban placed on religious studies in our public schools.”
“I could not agree anymore with the claim about the suggestion to improve the moral content of learning. And this relates with the issue we have also raised at our weekly executive meeting today (yesterday) that the most intelligent person has no learning if he or she has no compassion and fear for God.”

Darkness Spreads Nationwide As Fresh Egbin Collapse Cuts Electricity Supply By 421MW
A major system collapse at the Egbin power station has depleted
the facility’s electricity production level from 900 megawatts to 479
megawatts, a top official said on Tuesday, indicating more troubles for
the nation’s faltering power supply
Current national generation stands at 2,868.4 megawatts, away from February’s peak value of 4, 350 megawatts. Nigeria is estimated to require over 10,000 megawatts to guarantee stable electricity across the country
The News Agency of Nigeria quotes an unnamed official of Egbin station as saying that a major failure occurred at the plant on Tuesday, reducing the plant’s output by nearly half.
It is not clear how long the problem will last, and the official gave no further detail of the nature of the failure.
But NAN quotes Mike Uzoigwe, the Chief Executive Officer of the station, as saying on Wednesday that there would be more power outages arising from system collapse during the raining season. He said system collapse was always rampant during the raining season.

Man City boss Mancini: We proved Man Utd not 15 points better
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini says they've proved to Manchester United they're not a 15 point better team after victory last night.
While winning the FA Cup would bring City handsome consolation after their apparent failure to defend the title, a review of why they have failed to achieve their prime objectives will still be undertaken.
Mancini feels City proved with their defeat of United they are capable of challenging for title glory again next season.
Mancini said: "We need to continue to play like this for next season.
"We have two or three months where we can work well, where we can improve our team.
"I think we showed tonight we can't be 15 points behind.
"But we can say United won a lot of games. They lost their last game against Norwich a long time ago and they deserve to win this title, for sure."

High Consumption Of Noodles, Paracetamol Dangerous To Health – Pharmacists Say
The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN, has cautioned against
unrestrained consumption of foods such as noodles which are high in salt
content, and drugs such as paracetamol that contain sodium, as a way of
effectively addressing risk factors for high blood pressure or
hypertension.
President, PSN, Pharm. Olumide Akintayo gave the warning in a statement to mark the World Health Day which held on April 7.
“The risk of developing high blood pressure can be reduced by reducing salt intake, eating a balanced diet, avoiding harmful use of alcohol, taking regular physical activity, maintaining a healthy body weight, and avoiding tobacco use,” Akintayo said.
He also observed that reduction of hypertension in the Nigerian population can only be effected through strong public health policies such as reduction of salt in processed food and widely available diagnosis and treatment that tackle hypertension and other risk factors together.
“The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN, admonishes the consuming public on dietary patterns which is critical in hypertension. Some popular diets like some brands of noodles account for 61 percent of daily salt requirement in the smallest packs.
“Newly promoted brands of soluble paracetamol with about 450mg of sodium per tablet which transcends 2.7g daily when six tabs are taken a day will be inimical to the health of hypertensives and so call for caution,” Akintayo said.

Russian Billionaire Plans To Make Humans Immortal By 2045
A Russian billionaire has unveiled plans to make humans immortal
by converting them into “Terminator-style” cyborgs – a creature that’s
part human and part machine – within the next three decades.
Thirty two-year-old mogul, Dmitry Itskov has been pushing the project forward since 2011 when he founded the 2045 Initiative.
His ultimate goal is to transfer a person’s mind or consciousness from a living brain into a machine with that its personality and memories intact.
The so called “Cyborg” will have no physical form, and exist in a network similar to the Internet and be able to travel at the speed of light all over the Earth, or even into the space.
Itskov’s first highly ambitious goal, called Avatar A, involves a person controlling a robotic human replica through a brain-machine interface (BMI), a technology that already exists.
The deadline for this first stage is set for 2020. The Avatar B, due in 2025, would involve transplanting a human brain into an artificial body “at the end of one’s life.”
Next in line is the Avatar C, that rolls around in 2035, that would
also involve a human-machine brain transplant, but with all personality
intact.
Itskov hopes the Initiative will have learned enough about the human mind to free it completely from physical form finally, by 2045.

Nigeria versus Kenya (140 Characters Dillema)
UNBELIEVABLE.........‘Somebody tell Kenya’ or ‘Somebody tell Nigeria’. The match between the
Harambee stars of Kenya and the Super eagles of Nigeria turned into a
twifight on twitter prior to kickoff. The battle purportedly started
after a picture was posted on twitter, suggesting a shabby treatment of
the Kenyan squad in the hands of Nigerian football officials. The battle
which begun with just some few followers went on into its hundreds and
thousands with hash tags #somebodytellkenya and #somebodytellnigeria.
This issue was reported to have gained a worldwide trend when twitter
followers from parts of Europe, America, and Asia added few more
comments.
In recent times, twitter has been an avenue for players, fanatics, even officials to express views and opinions. As a result, we’ve had both pre- match and post- match twitter wars, commonly referred to as twifight. With the ongoing debate on the role of social media in sports reportage and its effect on credibility, one may wonder if such words as ‘twifight’ will ever make it into the English dictionary. However, the social media have succeeded in bringing sports to their beloved fans amidst the looming questions of credibility. For sure, the Harambee stars had their training sessions on the pitch of the Calabar state university, yet there was no fuss over that. Made their way in and around the state on a transit bus, now that’s the fuss. According to the Kenyans, the last time the Super Eagles touched down in Nairobi they had a coach, and thinks the Football governing body must have treated them inconsequentially.
According to Wikipedia, a Coach is a type of bus used for conveying passengers on excursions and on longer distance intercity bus service between cities- or even between countries. I have seen the NFF made provisions for such on numerous occasions when distance is of the essence. The underlying issues of the pre- match twitter war prior to March 23RD, 2013 must have been overhyped as a result of too many idle talks. Calabar is a home of tourism and I believe the Kenyans had the best hotel in the state for accommodation; meanwhile there was no fuss over that.
Can somebody tell these tweeps the football match was played but not won? It ended one goal apiece, with the super eagles securing a dying minute goal. The return leg match will now be played on Wednesday June 5TH and not Saturday June 9TH, at Moi Kasarani. The Super Eagles leaves for Nairobi on June 1ST, and should depart June 6TH, for the confederations cup slated for Brazil June 15TH. Nothing is for sure as for another return leg match battle on twitter. One thing is for sure Kenyans and Nigerians are allies not enemies, friends not foes. Somebody tell Nigerians the Kenyans are hard nut to crack on their home soil. Somebody tell Kenyans the battle is far from over.

Scrapping Of NECO A Great Setback For The Country – NECO Workers, Others
School palava again ..................The workers of the National Examination Council, on Thursday,
appealed to the Federal Government not to scrap the examination body, as
workers were reported to be wondering what their fate will be if the
government eventually implements the plan.
Reports on Wednesday said the Federal Government had decided to implement the recommendations of the Oronsaye-Panel that listed NECO among 38 federal agencies that would be scrapped or merged with others. The Federal Government had not confirmed or denied the planned action though, but there was palpable tension in NECO on Thursday.
A senior official, who pleaded anonymity because he was not permitted to speak to the press, told Vanguard there was no wisdom behind the attempt to scrap NECO.
“Let’s look at it this way: Britain is not up to half the size of Nigeria and it has about eight examination bodies. How then can Nigeria have only examination body?
“Secondly, why lump us with the West African Examination Council? WAEC does not belong to Nigeria, so what does the country stand to gain by handing over structures of NECO to WAEC?
“Thirdly, how possible is it for WAEC, or any examination body for that matter, to organise one SSCE in November and organise another one two months later, when they have not released the result of the one conducted in November?.
“Again, we should not be in a hurry to forget when Nigerian candidates suffered untold hardship in the hands of WAEC, which led to the birth of NECO.

We need God intervention..............The Joint Task Force (JTF) in the Niger Delta codenamed Operation
Pulo (oil) Shield, has advised the Movement for the Emancipation of the
Niger Delta (MEND) to shelve its planned resumption of hostilities as
its men had been adequately mobilised to tackle any upheaval.
MEND had yesterday threatened to resume hostilities in the oil-rich Niger Delta over the 24-year jail term slammed on its leader, Mr Henry Okah, in South Africa.
JTF spokesman Lt.-Col. Onyema Nwachukwu, who reacted to the militant group’s threat to resume an indefinite hostility tomorrow, said there was no justification for arms struggle in a free environment.
Lt.-Col. Nwachukwu, in a statement yesterday said: “Operation Pulo Shield has got wind of the threat, prior to the issuance of the statement today (yesterday) by some persons parading themselves as MEND.

“We Want God-fearing Politicians” – Mrs Abimbola Fashola
Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Mrs Abimbola Fashola, has said Nigeria
requires divine intervention for peace and unity to return to the
country. She therefore called on women in the state to pray for peace,
unity, progress and the enthronement of God-fearing leaders in Nigeria.
Speaking at the 2013 National Women’s Prayer Summit, NWPS, organised by Awesome Treasure Foundation, ATF, a non-government organisation, in Lagos, Fashola noted that it was very important that Nigerians prayed for God’s intervention in the management of the country’s affairs.
“We are putting Nigeria into the hands of the Lord because He is the only one that can deliver us.
“This is the only country we can call our own. We are asking that God should heal our land. We want God fearing politicians; those that are going to lead the nation aright.”
The governor’s wife also urged Nigerians, regardless of status, to always see themselves as leaders responsible and accountable in whatever they did to their families.
“Just as we are growing individually so is the state. We need to keep praying, keep talking, saying positive things about our country and we need to work hard not just as elected or appointed leaders.”

The former Liverpool player was stretchered off in the 84th minute of Tuesday night's game to be replaced by Marc Bartra.
A Barca statement read: "As reported by the medical team at the end of the game, the Azulgrana number 16 suffered a torn ligament in his right knee after a collision with Jordi Alba.
"If he successfully returns in six weeks, Mascherano will be back just for the final stretch of the season."

I’m Next Governor Of Ekiti State – Fayose
Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose has vowed to return to the State Government House come 2014.
Fayose said, “There is no agenda in 2014, I am the next governor of Ekiti State”.
Noting a correlation of events surrounding his removal from office by the State House of Assembly on October 15, 2006, his successor, Mr. Segun Oni’s sack by a court of appeal ruling on October 15, 2010 and the swearing-in of incumbent Dr. Kayode Fayemi on October 16, 2010, Fayose stated, “So the issues are very clear. The historic importance are very clear, my exit marks the end of every government in Ekiti State,” he said.
Fayose said automatically, Fayemi would leave office on October 15, 2014 and a new government by him would commence on October 16, 2014, “exactly eight years, after I left office”.
The ex-governor said, “Apart from that, I am working. People love me and people want me. I am endearing myself more to them. I don’t like to make too much noise. May God help all of us.”
On the reconciliatory meetings going on in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Fayose said it was a welcome development as “it shows that PDP is moving forward.”
He added, “We should all come together and do more, if we do more, we will get more. PDP will take over power in the South-West.
“Forever, there will be internal problems, it will never end, that is the hallmark of politics, that is why we call it politics, it is a game of interest and intrigues.”
Fayose said PDP as a large party should expect a lot of intrigues and interest but expressed the hope hope that the party would emerge stronger.
He said, “When you see a party fighting, and not ready to decamp, you should be afraid of them, because when they come together, it is a crisis for the opponents they are fighting.
“We should forget about the crisis, crisis is normal and we should expect more. That does not take away that they are in PDP and want PDP to win.”

A 32 -year-old mentally deranged woman, simply identified as Elo Elili, sent her father, Warrant Officer Jonah Elili (rtd) and his wife, aged 75 and 65 respectively, to their early grave by hitting them severally with a pestle thus causing grief and sorrow in the family of two boys and five girls .
The remains of the couple were said to have been discovered early Thursday by a neighbour who came knocking on their door to buy from their petty shop.
According to sources, the woman who was eager to make a purchase, had peeped into the house after knocking effortlessly without any response and raised the alarm on seeing the husband and wife lying in the pool of their blood.
Reliable sources in the area disclosed that the last they knew or heard about the family was when the retired soldier came out to drag her mentally deranged daughter who ran outside unclad (ostensibly because of her insanity) back into the house and locked her up.
However in her statement of defense at the Oleh Police Station where
she was arrested, Elo, who is believed to have a twin sister who is also
affected with insanity and has since walked away from the community
without any trace, said; “My parents hate me, locked me up in a room
where they first hit me before I retaliated with a pestle, I saw blood
and that is all I know.”
The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Oleh Division, CSP Lawrence Ogoegbulem, confirmed the incident, saying signal had been sent to the appropriate authorities and the case will be transferred immediately.

Man pours hot water on 13-year-old housemaid
Some people are very very wicked in this world.............A 13-year-old girl, Precious Edu, has accused the brother-in law of her
employer of pouring hot water on her. Edu, who said she was denied the
opportunity of attending school after she was brought to work with
Esther Amunde and her brother-in-law, Papa, in Calabar, Cross River
State, said Papa poured the water on her after accusing her of splashing
water on him. She said after the hot water left some burns on her neck,
shoulder and chest, she was left to wallow in pains for two days until
neighbours took her to the hospital for medical attention. Narrating her
ordeal to PUNCH Metro on Saturday on her sick bed, Edu, who is
currently being treated at the Calabar General Hospital, said she was
brought to Ekorinim area of the state from Obudu in the northern part of
the state to work as housemaid on the agreement that she would continue
her secondary education. But the situation changed as she was allegedly
denied schooling by Amunde, who insisted that Edu must not be
distracted from taking care of her little son. Edu said, “Sometime in
2012, one woman, Amaman appealed to my mother to release me as a
housemaid to her sister, Esther Amunde, residing in Calabar because she
needed somebody to stay with her. “When my mother accepted, it was with
the understanding that I would continue my schooling. I initially stayed
with Amunde’s mother in Obudu for three months before Amunde came
during Obudu new yam festival in August 2012 to take me to Calabar.” Edu
said on getting to Calabar, she worked full time as housemaid until
September when she expected that she would resume school with other
children. She said she reminded Amunde to register her in a school in
Ekorinim, but she turned down the request, saying her work was to take
care of her son.” Edu said, “Amunde refused to register me in school
insisting that my duty in her house was to take care of her (Amunde)
son. “I was attending Girls Secondary School in my village and I was in
JS-1. Even when I was with her mother (Amunde) briefly before coming to
Calabar, she allowed me to go to school. But my boss said because of her
son, I cannot attend school.” Edu alleged that in the course of
carrying out her duties, she was maltreated and abused by Papa. She
alleged that it was Papa that poured the hot water on her after a slight
misunderstanding. She said, “In the morning of March 9, I unplugged a
kettle and was turning the water in it into a bucket when Papa said the
water splashed on him. He soon brought a smaller bowl, dipped it into
the bucket of hot water and poured it on me. “When I told my boss about
the incident, she neither reacted nor did anything to the burn. It was
after my skin had had started peeling because of the burn that Amunde
gave me two tablets of Panadol to use. “However, when I went to fetch
water from the borehole five days later, some neighbours saw my peeling
skin and screamed. One of them took me to the general hospital.” At the
hospital, a nurse, who identified herself as Alice, said a child rights
activist, Mr. James Ibor, was called and he, in turn, alerted the
police. Ibor said, “We have made written requests to the Cross River
State Commissioner of Police to effect the arrest of Amunde and Papa to
face the law because what they have done amounts to felony.” The
activist said what they did by taking Udu from her mother to serve as
housemaid was human trafficking. He said Udu would thereafter be taken
to an orphanage where she would eventually be taken back to her parents
after the wound had healed. Efforts to get Amunde and Papa to speak on
the issue proved abortive. When contacted, the state Police Public
Relations Officer, Mr. John Umoh, said he was yet to be briefed of the
incident

Messi Dismisses La Liga Goal Streak As Unimportant, Says Winning Is More Important
Record breaker and prolific goal scorer, Lionel Messi, has dismissed the significance of his goal streak even as he lamented Barcelona’s inability to hold onto their lead at Celta Vigo before conceding a dying minute equaliser.
The Argentine has scored in 19 consecutive La Liga games and his second half strike in the 2-2 draw with the relegation threatened side ensured he has scored against every opposition team – a feat Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo achieved last season, albeit not in a row!
Although the forward is glad to have helped the Catalunya club thrive with his strikes, he still maintains that “the least important thing is the streak” he told reporters after the match.
A Kenyan Pedal Power Solution for Charging Mobile Phones
In rural Kenya, electricity sockets are hard to find but pedal power is everywhere-which is why inventor Pascal Katana has come up with an ingenious method to charge mobile phones using the energy generated by bicycles. Students of the university of Nairobi came up with a solution. The easy-to-use smart charger has ecently been brought to the market. It costs about 350 Kenyan shillings, which is about USD$4, which is a better value than recharging at small shops with solar panels, which charge a fee of about USD$1.
