Spirit Inspire: The Power of Praise | Digitalk World

“Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;”

  — Psalms 149:6 (KJV)

We Begin Our discussion By considering an Examplary Scenario That Speaks About God's Move When we Praise

Let's not Forget That All That were Written aforetime were basically For Our Learning.

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”
  — Romans 15:4 (KJV)

let's Take a cue From The Story of Jehoshaphat When The Israelites were taken off their inheritance by the invaders

“O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.”
  — 2 Chronicles 20:12 (KJV)

“And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.”
  — 2 Chronicles 20:15 (KJV)

“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.”
  — 2 Chronicles 20:17 (KJV)

2 Chronicles 20 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹⁸ And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.
¹⁹ And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

2 Chronicles 20 (KJV)

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

²⁰ And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

²¹ And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.

“And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.”
  — 2 Chronicles 20:22 (KJV)

We Can Learn From The Experience of Jehoshaphat

We Praise God Along Wíth Bowels Full of Revelation And Light

“Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;”
  — Psalms 149:6 (KJV)

The potency of Praises lifted Towards God Cannot be Quantified Because it is Expressed Unto The One Who is The Monarch of The Universe.

It Can Restore Years.
It Can Birth Seasons.
It Can Program Favour.
It Can Bring Direction.

Because it is Expressed unto Him Who Can Make all Grace Abound Towards Us, having Sufficiency in all Ways. We Abound much more in Good Works.

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”
  — 2 Corinthians 9:8 (KJV)

Our Praise Shouldn't be During Times of Battles or Challenges.

It Should be a Lifestyle Because That's What we are Created Basically For.

“And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.”
  — Psalms 35:28 (KJV)

To Show forth the Praises of Him

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”
  — 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)

We Praise Him Majorly For Who he is.

“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.”
  — Psalms 90:2 (KJV)

He Remains Abba.

From eternity to Eternity.

We All are Sojourners in One of His Creative Works

In Summary

Let's Offer The Sacrifice Continually Even as We've been redeemed By Christ JESUS Sacrifice For us on the Cross

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
  — Hebrews 13:15 (KJV)
